Safety advice

We prevent incidents from happening through community engagement, advice and intervention.

Our aim is to make people safer in their homes and on the roads. With two rivers and the coast nearby, water safety is also important for the residents of Tyne and Wear.

We attend a variety of community events and run campaigns throughout the year to share our safety messages and tackle anti-social behaviour.

We also work with partners to deliver training courses for businesses.

We provide fire safety education for children and teenagers through school visits and SafetyWorks!, our interactive safety centre in Newcastle.

The SafetyWorks! Team offers learning opportunities for vulnerable adults and community groups too.

Visit the SafetyWorks! website for more information or call 0191 444 1130.
