Bonfire Night 2018

Welcome to our fireworks and bonfire information.

We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable bonfire night. We work hard to prevent deaths and reduce the number of injuries caused by bonfires and fireworks over the bonfire period. But we need your help too - as there are many sensible things that you can do to keep yourself, your family and friends safe on Bonfire Night.

Closer to the big day itself, we will publish information on organised displays in Tyne and Wear. However, we already have up to date advice on fire safety, educational materials available for teachers and dedicated pages for young people.

You can read up on the laws surrounding bonfires and fireworks, and view our previous campaign materials.

You can also connect with us on Facebook and Twitter to read safety tips and advice and pass messages and information to friends and family.
