District Plan 2013/2014

The District Plan provides an overview of Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescues Services (TWFRS) priorities to be delivered against within the local area. Through working alongside our partner agencies we are able to provide a safer community through the delivery of efficient and effective services.

The success of the partnerships and the delivery of our services is reflected within the performance achieved by TWFRS within the district of Newcastle. The District Plan clearly outlines the performance of our key Local Indicators and National Indicators against set targets at both district and Community Fire Station level.

Whilst the core function of the TWFRS is to respond to emergency incidents it also aims to prevent the incidents from occurring in the first place. Throughout the District Plan it is evident that we are involved in a number of initiatives and partnerships aiming to succeed in this approach.

If you require further information relating to the District Plans and how we are delivering against the priorities you can contact myself directly or view one of the Quarterly Performance Reports that provide updates on our initiatives and actions.
