National Indicator Performance

The TWFRS have to report their performance against two National Indicators (NI's) as set by Government. The indicators relate to the number of primary fires (e.g. property that has a value) and related injuries/fatalaties plus the number of deliberate fires attended. The descriptions for each of the National Indicators are provided below:

  • NI33 Number of deliberate primary and secondary fires

  • NI49 Number of primary fires and related fatalities and non fatal casualties (excluding precautionary checks)

In addition to the fire NI's the district also focuses on a number of other measures to support its partners in achieving their goals, these include:

  • NI17 Perceptions of anti social behaviour

  • NI39 Rate of hospital admissions per 100,000 for alcohol related harm

In order to provide our communities and partners with information relating to the performance of these National Indicators you can download a copy of the latest performance report. The figures will be updated at the beginning of each quarter (e.g. July, October, January and April) to reflect the performance achieved across the Service and the five district areas.
